Isaiah 53:11,12
After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
The silence before the cross. The weight before the storm. “He poured out His life unto death
and was numbered with the transgressors.”
Counted among sinners. Treated like the guilty. Though He was the Righteous One. He bore the sin of many. Not symbolically. Not partially. Fully.
Every failure. Every rebellion. Every hidden shame. Laid on Him. But suffering was not the end.
“After He has suffered, He will see the light of life and be satisfied.” This was not tragic loss.
It was intentional surrender.
He justified many. He made intercession for transgressors. He stood in the gap. And because He was crushed, we are declared righteous.
Holy Wednesday reminds us: The One who was numbered with sinners now stands among the great.
The One who died now sees the light of life. This was never defeat. It was redemption unfolding.
