The Ateneo de Manila University community gathered to offer prayers for the late student-athletes Divine Adili and Rene Baterbonia. Ateneo held a memorial Mass for Adili and Baterbonia on Saturday, June 13, at the college chapel in the University’s Loyola Heights campus. The two members of the Ateneo Men’s Basketball Team died in a team-building activity on Monday in Dipaculao, Aurora. The remains of Adili will be returned to Nigeria upon the request of his parents, while the body of Baterbonia has been flown back to Davao City before being brought to Agusan del Sur. The family of the late Divine Adili said no words can undo what happened to the Nigerian big man, following the apology of Ateneo Blue Eagles head coach Tab Baldwin on Friday.
