If you’re new to my channel, my name is Kayden. I’m an aspiring professional footballer and I share the football drills, workouts and knowledge that have helped me so far in my career. I currently play Semi – Professional football in England. Along side that I coach players, both in real life and online.
How I got here…
11 yrs old: Started playing football casually at lunchtime in school
12 yrs old: Sign for a local Sunday League team, first experience of competitive football (Division 4 Team)
14 yrs old: Finish the season top scorer of Div 4 earning promotion to Div 3
15 yrs old: Move to a Div 2 team but only play 2 games due to COVID lockdown
16 yrs old: Worked hard individually over lockdown and on return earned a move to Div 1 team. Finished top scorer in Div 1 in first season.
16yrs old: Join elite college/high school football programme off the back of Div 1 season. National league – The highest level of football in the UK outside of pro academy system.
17 yrs old: Our team wins a national league at u19 level. I finish top scorer in the league 32 goals in 27 games. Played 3 games against pro academies, scoring in each.
17 yrs old: Signed 2 year contract at Semi – Professional club
Today: Currently in year 2 of my first contract. Growing online football brand (Currently 2.5k on YT & 1k on IG). Over the next year I hope to cement my place as a start in men’s football + grow my football channels and go full time creating football content that helps other players improve faster than I have.
To all of the footballers out there, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. No 2 journeys are the same in football.
The bigger the struggle, the better the story.
Your big break may be 2 weeks away, it might be 2 years away.
The players that are ahead of you right now can fall off just as quick as you can overtake them. It just takes time.
