– There is a Power 6 (American, ACC, Big Ten, Big XII, Pac-12 and SEC) instead of a Power 4
– The bulk of the illogical geographical school shifting from their traditional homes never happened (Pac-12 is intact, Texas and Oklahoma remain in the Big XII, the Big Ten never brings in Maryland (back in ACC), Nebraska (back in Big XII) and Rutgers (back in the American))
– Some schools do shift conferences (FSU to SEC, UCF and ECU to ACC, Iowa State to Big Ten, SMU to Big XII, BYU to Pac-12, etc.)
– There is already a 24-team playoff
– Each conference is required to play nine conference games
– New for 2025, elimination of division format for all conferences
