Alien: Romulus | What Makes It So Immersive?

High School

Alien: Romulus stands out as one of 2024’s most immersive sci-fi films, thanks to these three key technical aspects of its filmmaking.

-Description

Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986) were my favourite Sci-Fi films. While its follow-up movies might be a hit or miss with fans, its most recent release Alien: Romulus promised to bring the franchise back to its basics, with an extra emphasis put on the film’s horror aspects and also on improving the technical side of its filmmaking.

After watching the film, I can confidently say that it delivered on all fronts and director Fede Alvarez has produced one of the most immersive movies of the year. In this video, I’ll be taking a look at the 3 key technical aspects of Alien: Romulus’ filmmaking that has made it such an immersive film for me.
