– Due to disqualification for SSAC rules violations and final results were a forfeit for Princeton
History
– Princeton had a transfer player on the team and it was said to the coaching staff that the player had met all SSAC eligibility requirements and that the student was allowed to practice in prep week, participate in the game against Greenbrier East on October 22nd, at Spartan Stadium per report.
– The player played as his eligibility was communicated as ‘clear to play’, Tigers won, and days later, the player was ruled ineligible per SSAC regulations. Therefore, Princeton played an ineligible player and had to forfeit the victory per SSAC regulations. Sadly, this story was aired on WVVA news. Rough times would follow this game for a season of time, but the Tigers and the Coaching Staff would battle through, despite their adversity that was up against them.
– This became the third forfeit for Princeton High in program history and the first since Princeton defeated Big Creek 24-14 in 1964. The first forfeit for Princeton’s history took place in 1926 in a 0-32 loss against Williamson. All three forfeits were ruled as ineligible player for Princeton. This violation has not been repeated in history, since this date.
– Tigers played hard and won on the field and on the scoreboard, as the video shows. Solid team win for the Tigers outright. Great job guys!
