Michael Jordan and NASCAR settled a federal antitrust lawsuit on Thursday. The settlement awards charters to 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports — both had relinquished their charters when they didn’t sign the 2025-31 agreement to pursue the lawsuit.
“I mean both parties feel like it’s worth it because we we understand we had to work together. I mean compromise in every negotiation is one of the toughest things that you can do,” Jordan said after court. “I think that we can say that we we both compromise on both on both of our agendas and I think we both come to the conclusion that it’s better for the sport.”
The financial terms of the settlement are confidential and will not be released, according to a joint statement.
The settlement came on the ninth day of a trial before U.S. District Judge Kenneth Bell, who set aside motions hearing for an hour-long sidebar.
